CUSA U-13 Boys Statistics Fall 2008

Saturday 18 Oct - Game versus Classic Hammers (Tied 2-2) Without Alex Buckley and Ehsauan Huff we trailed 2-0 early in the second quarter. We continued pressure and began to turn our fortunes when Matt Borchers got us going with a nice goal at 22 minutes of the second half. We upped the pressure and a handball outside of the Penalty area resulted at the 31 minute mark. Sam George stepped up and poked it in to the upper left corner of the goal to tie the score.




Sunday, 19 Oct - versus West Side Classics (8-0 win) Sam started scoring the first 2 minutes of the game. Andrew slipped one past the keeper at Minute 6. Sam went again at minute 10 after getting a deflection from an Aaron D. shot. The first half scoring concluded with a nice goal by Erik Helm. The second half scorers included Louis, Alex B., Andrew with his 2nd, and finally Eric Jinn.

Dateline 9/28/2008. Oak Grove Field 52. Game Summary:

Goal 1: 7:30 of the first half by Sam Borchers. (Probably the best sequence of soccer this year according to coach Colin Andrew, Sam and Louis were really working the ball well together for about 5 minutes). After a near goal off of a header, Sam started scoring with a nice shot.

Goal 2: 16th minute Alex Buckley with a shot from 25 yards bends left into the goal.

Goal 3: 13th minute of second half Alex Buckley scored after receiving a great pass from Erik Helm

Goal 4: 16th minute Eric Westhaus scored off of a nice assist from Ryan Fenner

Goal 5: 34th minute Sam George closes out the game after receiving a nice assist from Louis Williams

9/27/2008 - Oak Grove 52. Score 4-0 CUSA!

Goal 1: @ 5 minutes of first half- Louis Williams (beat the keeper on a breakaway

Goal 2 @ 24 minutes of first half -Sam George PK (Eric Jinn fouled, left corner no doubter)G

Goal 3 @ 34 minutes of first half-Alex Buckley (Eric Westhaus was there in the event it didnt go in on its own.

9/21/2008 - CUSA Boys U-13 White took in another victory at Clearcreek Park in Cincinnati Sunday. The team posted scores from Eric Westhouse (2), Andrew Mirrow and Eshaun Huff. CUSA White continued a barrage of shots during the entire game. A tight defense by Schyler Ray, Aaron DeVilbiss, Patrick Zengel and keeper Alex Stafford kept Hammer to a single goal. Midfielders Matt Borchers, Sam George, Eric Jinn and Alex Buckley passed effectively across the middle and Lewis Williams had several break away attempts at goal. The next game for CUSA is Saturday, Sept 27th at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove.

9/20/2008 - CUSA U-13 White beat Kings Soccer Academy 4-1 in an excellent game played in Northern Kentcky extending its record to 2-0. Alex Buckley scored three goals in the first half and Sam George scored in the second half to bring the team's latest victory.
